Hey, Rich Friend!

I was raised in Landover, Maryland, what was known as the heart of Prince George's County. Looking to ease my mother's financial burden and gain some financial security of my own, I landed my first job at the age of 14 at a T-shirt stand in the center of the late, Landover Mall. I am now a federal contracts professional and dynamic civilian leader who has negotiated multi-billion dollar contracts and currently manage a multi-million dollar budget on behalf of a small federal government agency IT operation. 

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business and Management and a Master's in Management Studies from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Born to teen parents with no financial blueprint to follow, I turned my family's financial challenges into a purpose driven passion. After completing a master financial coaching program, and documenting how I led my family out of a $40,000 debt hole, saved adequately to ensure our children wouldn't be burdened with student loan debt, maintain an 800+ credit score after a bankruptcy battle, and build a $2M net worth... about 5 years ago I founded The Wealth Building Lab, LLC. Not only am I cooking up rich life visions and road maps in the lab for coaching clients, I'm on a mission to help more first-generation wealth builders like myself with the mindset shifts, tools, and accountability needed to break financial strongholds and step into their own Rise Rich Era using the 3-pillar Rise Rich Framework. 

My authorship journey began after the passing of my grandmother in early 2025, which inspired me to channel pain into purpose through writing what is now the first pillar and guiding premise of the mission. That healing led to my debut book "Rise Rich: Intentional Living for First Generation Wealth Builders". I am passionate about being transparent and sharing the knowledge gained as living proof, that the Rise is personal, and a Rich life is possible. The mission to empower young adults, families, and professionals to master their money, live intentionally, and build generational wealth - WITHOUT sacrificing the joys of everyday life is now a movement I DON'T PLAY ABOUT! 

I reside in Washington, DC with my husband, three children, and our adorable Cavapoo. I am very intentional about spending my time doing things that bring me peace and laughter like going to comedy shows, not sweating the small stuff, traveling and exploring the world, and eating all kinds of pescaterian friendly cuisine. They keep me feeling RICH!
